The procession was led by a banner group. After him, another 30 holders of the Miner’s Glory honorary badge marched in a single formation: the pride and honor of the mining industry in Russia, the best employees of the enterprise.
New special vehicles added to the motor vehicle fleet of PIMCU drove in the columns of the Union divisions. The festive procession was attended by employees of PIMCU and Rusburmash, JSC (subsidiary of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. specialized in geological exploration and drilling). Also, collectives of municipal organizations and enterprises, professional educational institutions walked along Stroiteley Avenue.

Particularly, he said: «In the year of the nuclear industry anniversary, it is especially pleasant to emphasize that the miner is one of the oldest professions in the industry. Uranium production rests on a miner’s sturdy shoulder. Nowadays, Rosatom provides about 20% of clean and safe electricity in Russia. This is a big work that involves thousands of people from different parts of the country. The miners of Krasnokamensk, the uranium capital of the country, make a significant contribution to it. Every day you challenge the subsoil. And this year, when the whole world reduced its production program, you fulfilled it 100% and once again proved that miners are people of a special mold. Thank you for your endurance, strength of spirit and dedication to your profession.»
Vladimir Verkhovtsev presented the For Merit to the Nuclear Industry badges to Vasily Markovets, Head of the Radiation Safety Laboratory at PIMCU, Alexander Ovchinnikov, an excavator operator at the Urtuiskoye open cast mining office, Igor Solovyev, an underground shotfirer at Mine No. 1, and Alexander Tantsay, a bottom man at Mine No. 8. The most important moment of the celebrations was the presentation of the main miner’s award: the 1st class Miner’s Glory badge. From the hands of Director General of PIMCU, PJSC Ivan Kiselev it was received by Nikolay Shubin, an excavator operator at the Urtuiskoye open cast mining office, Gennady Damaskin, Head of the Shaft-Sinking Section of the Shaft-Sinking Department, Yuri Senkin, Head of the Section at the underground Mine No. 1, and Anatoly Sukhovey, an electrician of the Production Support Directorate.
