New Year’s Kaleidoscope Pre-Holiday Program Starts at ROSATOM

2020 has become a special year for the nuclear industry — we will remember it by a whole bunch of festive events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the nuclear industry and the launch of new cultural and educational projects, the commissioning of the floating nuclear power plant and the Adygeyskaya wind farm, the launch of Unit 6 of the Leningradskaya NPP and Unit 1 of the Belarus NPP, raising the flag over the newest Arktika icebreaker, the establishment of the National Quantum Laboratory and many other significant events.

All of these results are especially valuable because we all had to act in very special conditions. The outgoing year was full of difficulties and new challenges that we, like all of humanity, have never had to face, and which the industry has managed to respond to very adequately due to well-coordinated work, unity and team spirit.

It is worth to celebrate the end of such a special year in a special way: together with the entire ROSATOM Country. On December 18, the New Year page https://atom75.ru/newyear launches on the website https://atom75.ru/, it will become a unifying platform for all employees of the industry, regardless of the city and the country of the world they work in.

A virtual New Year tree will be installed on the site. Its garlands will feature inspirational New Year greetings from industry leaders. Do not forget to look into the gift box under the tree: warm video greetings from colleagues await you there.

We want all of us to become a little closer to each other on these holidays: congratulate our relatives, convey good wishes to our friends, share the New Year mood with colleagues. It will be possible to exchange congratulations next to the New Year tree: a special interactive chat will work there, making it possible to leave your wishes, say hello, and chat with colleagues. The more warm and kind words we say to each other these days, the brighter our New Year tree will glow.

Here you will also be able to get acquainted with the poster, which contains all the information about the New Year’s industry events, in which you can, but also need to participate.

On the page https://atom75.ru/newyear, Director General of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation Alexey Likhachev will congratulate the employees on the holiday. On December 21 and 28, broadcasts of the Arctic and New Year versions of the Physicists and Lyricists project will be organized. On December 31, there will be a broadcast of our own festive atomic Ogonyok: a New Year program from the 10 Songs of Nuclear Cities project. On January 7, the site will host a real online musical: A Christmas Tale from the Nuckids project.

From December 20 to January 2, a thematic light show will begin at nightfall on the building of the State Corporation at Bolshaya Ordynka, 24. A unique lighting installation using 3D-mapping technology will be shown every evening from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm Moscow time, and on New Year’s Eve until 4:00 am. Color images will be projected onto the facade of the ROSATOM building, telling about the greatness of scientific thought and the achievements of nuclear power industry. Thanks to technologies that use the play of color, light and shadow and play with the building’s architectural solutions, an impressive sight awaits the audience.

Before the holiday, New Year’s industry frames, with which everyone can decorate their avatar, will appear on the Facebook.

On December 21, the thematic issue of the Strana Rosatom (ROSATOM Country) newspaper will be released, which will form the basis of an online booklet with brief preliminary results of the year. The issue will include a selection of key events of the year, highlights of the anniversary program, impressions of industry employees about what achievements the outgoing year will be remembered for and how it will remain in history.

For everyone who wants to send a traditional New Year message to colleagues, friends, acquaintances, ROSATOM’s corporate cards will be available in print and electronic versions. Give the most valuable things — warmth and festive mood — to those around you!

And these are not all of the New Year’s surprises! From December 18, more detailed information, broadcasts, videos, recordings of songs and congratulations will be available at https://atom75.ru/newyear. Let us celebrate the New Year together!

Cookies

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to our site. We believe that it is useful to our users to see advertisements that are more relevant to their interests. If you are based in the European Union and would like to learn more about how advertisers use these types of cookies or to choose not to receive them, please visit www.youronlinechoices.eu.

We also use or allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into the four categories above. For example, like many companies, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic. We may also enable third parties to serve cookies to help to identify fraudulent or non-human traffic on some of our websites. We may also use third party cookies to help us with market research, revenue tracking, improving site functionality and monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and copyright policy.

Can a website user block cookies?
As we’ve explained above, cookies help you to get the most out of our websites. However, if you do wish to disable our cookies then please follow the instructions on https://www.wikihow.com/Disable-Cookies. Please remember that if you do choose to disable cookies, you may find that certain sections of our website do not work properly.

Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.

More detail on how businesses use cookies is available at www.allaboutcookies.org.
