FOMC ED Igor Semenov Ranked among Young Economic Leaders of Russia

Igor Semenov, Executive Director of The First Ore Mining Company, JSC (part of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co./Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation) is ranked among young economic leaders of Russia on the Choiseul 100 Russia 2020 list. This is an extension of the Choiseul 100 France, which has been annually published by Institut Choiseul, a French independent think-tank, since 2013. Every year, they name the brightest next generation talents under the age of 40 whose great potential contributes to building a modern economy in the country. Igor Semenov has been included in the list of the top 100 Russians in the Industry sector and has reaffirmed the name of a young economic leader he was granted a year ago.
In Rosatom’s Mining Division, Igor Semenov is in charge of the Pavlovskoye project for the development of the lead-zinc deposit on the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago. In 2020, the field season has completed successfully there in spite of the epidemic spread, with engineering surveys conducted to design the Mining and Processing Plant and samples taken in order to estimate the mineral recourses in line with the JORC Code.
In addition, Igor Semenov is the Chairman of the Board of ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC, a pioneer in the domestic market of lithium-ion battery powered mining machinery. The project is implemented in collaboration with the French ARAMINE, Europe’s largest manufacturer of environmentally friendly equipment.
The Choiseul 100 Russia 2020 list is published on December 14, 2020 on the RBC+ website. According to Pascal Lorot, the President of Institut Choiseul, the project aims at developing the long-standing partnership between Russia and France. It entails meetings, which are held among Russian and French captains of industry on a routine basis, to generally promote more international business initiatives, while the inaugural Russia-France Business Forum is to take place in Moscow in 2021.
