Development Plans for Trans-Baikal and Buryatia Based Uranium Producers Approved During Working Visit of ARMZ Executive Director Victor Svyatetskiy

At Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC (E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC) in Krasnokamensk, the Trans-Baikal Territory, special focus was put on the construction of new Mine No. 6. For the time being, they have completed the mine’s infrastructure, including an underground surge tank, pumping units, a fire station, an office and amenity building, etc., while integrated tests are being carried out with the equipment in the mine water treatment plants (MWTPs) and construction of surface tipple complexes is still in progress.
«With the approved further work schedule, we will complete the construction of Mine No. 6 on time, and winning and an increase in the mining will make it possible for us to extract the strategic metal at the existing mines until 2035,» said Victor Svyatetskiy.
Meanwhile, Khiagda, JSC based in the Republic of Buryatia is beginning to develop the Kolichikan uranium deposit in 2021.
At the meeting, Victor Svyatetskiy also approved the schedule for administrative and technical actions and performance improvements.
