ARMZ Holds Discussions for Preparing 2020 Reports
As part of the preparation of 2020 reports, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (Atomredmetzoloto, JSC/ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation) held dialogues with stakeholders.
The dialogues were attended by representatives of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., TENEX, JSC, educational institutions, auditing companies, research organizations, Veterans Council, the Our Future Foundation of Regional Social Programs, and the media. Representatives of the regions of the Company’s presence joined the event online, while external stakeholders participated in face-to-face format. The priority topic of the Reports of Atomredmetzoloto, JSC is «Business Diversification of the Mining Division as a Factor of Sustainable Development».
Victor Svyatetskiy, First Deputy Director General-Executive Director, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., made a report on the performance results of the key production facilities. He noted that by the end of 2020 the Mining Division of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation exceeded the plan for uranium production by 2%. The development of new capacities is also under way. In capital construction, 2020 investment program is 100% completed.
Oleg Barabanov, First Deputy Director General, Atomredmetzoloto, JSC, presented the roadmap for the development of new businesses and the level of projected revenue from the division’s business diversification. He named the main areas of development: geological exploration and drilling, engineering services and design, construction of engineering structures and utilities, gold mining, high-grade coal mining, mining and processing of non-uranium ores, mining and processing of rare and rare earth metals, etc. In 2020, the share of revenues from non-uranium projects increased to 29%.
Igor Semenov, Executive Director, The First Ore Mining Company, JSC, spoke about the first results of the enterprise in import-substituting production of battery-powered narrow-web load-haul-dumpers at the facilities of Repair and Mechanical Plant of PIMCU, PJSC. The heads of uranium mining enterprises informed about the key work results in 2020.
Alexander Rabolt, Chief Engineer, PIMCU, PJSC, noted that, in accordance with the schedule, construction of the infrastructure of the new Mine No. 6 has been completed in Krasnokamensk (Trans-Baikal Territory), including the largest facility: mine water treatment plant. Construction of tipple complexes has begun.
Andrey Gladyshev, Director General, Khiagda, JSC, paid attention to the digital transformation of the enterprise. A virtual model of the Istochnoye deposit was created on the basis of the Khiagda ore field reserves. Using special software, experts see and control the entire uranium production process. The complex was developed by Seversk Technological Institute of the NRNU MEPhI by the order of Khiagda, JSC. Innovative solutions have also been implemented at the Vershinnoye deposit, where the automation of the local sorption unit has begun.
Nikolay Poponin, Director General, Dalur, JSC, noted the completion of geological exploration at the Dobrovolnoye deposit in the Zverinogolovsky district of the Kurgan region.
Representatives of stakeholders made suggestions and recommendations on disclosure of relevant information in the reports. Let us remind you that in 2020 ROSATOM and the nuclear industry companies switched to a single brand. As part of this process, the format of public reporting has changed. Starting from the 2019 reporting year, all public reporting information on the nuclear industry activities is reflected in the annual public report of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation.
Reports from the divisions of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation (Atomredmetzoloto, JSC, Atomenergomash, JSC, ASE EC, JSC, Rosenergoatom Concern, JSC, TVEL, JSC, TENEX, JSC) will be posted as extended appendices to the single public annual report in electronic form.
