Red Banner of Labor Sees Third High Award to E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC - Largest Uranium Mining Company of Russia
The order on naming PIMCU, PJSC after Efim Slavsky was signed by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.
The company has been awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and the Order of Lenin for 50 years of work on supplying the nuclear industry with the strategic raw materials.
“Some time ago the award policy of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation was changed and now enterprises can receive awards for work in the nuclear industry and not just individuals. Today, our union is the first to receive one of the highest recognitions from ROSATOM. It happened for a reason, of course, since PIMCU was built with direct involvement of Efim Pavlovich, the legendary Minister of Medium Machine-Building Industry of the USSR, who personally supervised the uranium production in the USSR.” – noted Vladimir Vysotsky, chairman of the Board of Directors of E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC.
“Personnel of our thrice-awarded enterprise will fulfill completely and timely any task set forth by the Government of the Russian Federation, by ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation or the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.” – stated in his response Alexander Glotov, Director General of E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC.
“50 years is a serious, important and eventful period in life for any individual or any company. The workers of the Union have made a great feat of labor, created a modern, beautiful city in the Trans-Baikal steppe, and launched a powerful, diversified enterprise for producing and processing uranium, which remains the flagship of Russia’s nuclear industry. It is symbolic for us to open new prospects for PIMCU in the anniversary year, we have begun construction of mine no. 6 for the development of Argunskoye and Zherlovoye fields.” – said Natalya Zhdanova, Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory. On the anniversary concert in the Dauriya Community Center she presented best employees with letters of appreciation: to Aleksey Pligin, excavator driver at the Urtuyskoye surface mine office, Alexey Malkov, tunneling man at the tunneling department, and to others.
30 best employees of E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, JSC were awarded with various decorations, including ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation’s Nuclear Industry Merit Badge and 1st Degree Miner’s Glory badge as the highest recognition of their honorable mining efforts. Employees recognized as Full Cavaliers of the Miner’s Glory badge included wiremen of the Production support department Viktor Gikal, Vladimir Kuznetsov, Valery Skubiev and Viktor Ivanov, electrician Nikolay Kozhukharev, chief surveyor of the tunneling department Yuri Komlov, coal cracking and sorting area head at the Urtuyskoye surface mine office Andrey Dimov, deputy head of Mine No. 1 Area Ranit Miniyanov, Mine No. 1 shift chief Dmitry Saprykin and mine mounting material delivery man Nikolay Chegodaev. “Can’t imagine my life without the Union. The celebration culminated in a formal parade of the workers. Work groups of PIMCU production departments, enterprises, companies and state agencies of Krasnokamensk marched across the central street of the City – the Stroiteley prospect. Afterwards, “Best in Profession” letters were presented at the front entrance of the Dauriya Community Center. In the evening, Krasnokamensk citizens gathered at the central square of the city for the Red Stone musical festival which featured legendary Tekhnologiya band.
