PIMCU, PJSC Proves Conformity of QMS and EMS to International Standards
Certification audit has confirmed the compliance of the quality and environment management systems of Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union (PIMCU, PJSC, part of the management circuit of ARMZ Uranium Holding, Rosatom State Corporation’s Mining Division) to the requirements of ISO 900:2015 and 14001:2015 international standards (Quality Management System and Environment Management System).
The Company’s activity was assessed by a group of Rostehcert, Ltd.’s auditors representing Quality Austria, a European certification body. The audit was conducted in two stages. The auditors visited the production sites of the association, analyzed technical documentation, interviewed the employees and managers, and monitored the implementation of processes that are within the certification scope.
Summarizing the work performed, Oleg Bebikov, head of the audit team, said: “This is our expert’s second visit to PIMCU, PJSC. We see an improvement both in the Company’s activities and of the professional competence of the staff, as well as an increase of their interest in the work. The equipment is modernized, and the safety control systems of different types are improved on a continuous basis. The quality level of the product significantly exceeds the requirements of the relevant terms of reference. The closed-loop cycle of the production process allows reducing the impact on the environment. In addition, PIMCU, PJSC is developing and implementing energy saving, environmental protection and improvements projects”.
The Enterprise has received certificates of conformity of the quality management system and the environmental management system in mining and chemical processing of uranium ore, the supply of the finished product to the consumer as per the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015.
