ATOMEX 2017 and ARMZ Meetings with Suppliers
Representatives of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. took part in the IX International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ANOMEX 2017 held on November 14-16 in Moscow.
The Forum was arranged by Rosatom State Corporation with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Opora Rossii National Public Organization of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
The 3-day program of the Forum was filled with various business and exhibition activities. Approximately 90 companies presented their products on the stands. More than 2,000 delegates visited the Forum.
Attraction of new suppliers, quality improvement of the purchased equipment and services, present-day trends in procurement activity – these (and not only) topics were discussed on the Forum sites. The experts specially emphasized openness and transparency of the Rosatom’s system aimed at combating corruption and providing its competitive advantage.
ARMZ took the lead in one of the sections within the framework of which the experts of the division companies, namely Atomredmetzoloto, PPGHO, Rusburmash, presented their 2018 yearly procurement programs, answered the questions of audience in regard to the technology of the procurement process and the requirements to the participants. The meetings in B2B format were constructive which allowed forming a list of potential partners aimed in their activities at innovative solutions and technologies, particularly in radio communications, manufacturing of lighting devices, personal protective equipment, etc. In its turn, interest on the part of the manufacturers was generated in the first place by the largest and promising projects implemented by the Company these days, namely construction of Mine #6 in PPGHO within the Zabaikalye Territory and industrial complex for extraction and processing of leased-zinc ore in Pablovskoe deposit located on the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago.
Vladimir Verkhovtsev, ARMZ's Director General, visited the Forum. He noted the following: “At present ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. expands the scope of its activities by extensive implementation of the program for the development of diversification directions in business. It determines a necessity to attract new partners complying with our requirements and ensuring high quality fulfilment of our orders on a timely basis. This Forum constitutes a perfect site for a direct dialogue with the potential suppliers”.
ATOMEX Forum is held since 2009. The leading divisions of Rosatom as well as enterprises and organizations being their members take part in the Forum. TVEL Fuel Company, Rosenergoatom Concern, Atomenergomash JSC, etc., are among them.
