In Memory of Vladimir Razumov
On November 2, 2017, Vladimir Ivanovich Razumov passed away. He was a talented leader and a great professional in his field, who devoted his entire life to the development of the mining industry in Russia.
Having graduated from the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute in 1961 with a degree of mining electromechanical engineer, he passed a glorious career from an ordinary machine engineer to the director general of mining companies. He made a direct contribution to the construction and successful operation of facilities at the basis of Zavitinskoye lithium and beryllium deposit, Etykinskoye rare earth deposits, in extraction of gold, tin, lead, and zinc in different regions of the country.
In the “Perestroika” 1990s, Vladimir Ivanovich headed an ore mining and processing enterprise, the largest one in the Trans-Baikal Territory, selflessly and professionally combating the challenges of that difficult time.
A separate milestone in his life was the development of uranium deposits: he has managed to achieve a positive decision on the construction of Khiagda enterprise for in-situ uranium leaching. Now, it is the leading uranium mining asset of our country: Khiagda, JSC; he insisted on resuming the work on the development of Dalmatovskoye field in the Kurgan Region.
