Mining Development Discussed at Minex Forum
ARMZ uranium holding representatives, First Deputy Director General - Chief Operating Officer Victor Svyatetskiy, and Adviser to Director General Stanislav Chernitevich participated in Minex forum about current problems of mining development in Russia and Eurasian Economic Union countries.
The forum has already become a traditional site for reports and opinion exchange of representatives of the Federal Agency on Mineral Resources, the largest users of mineral resources, service companies of mining and geological spheres, and material and equipment suppliers.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, the head of the Federal Agency on Mineral Resources, Evgeniy Arkadievich Kiselev, delivered a welcome speech. Heads of the largest industrial companies, Polymetal, Highland Gold, and Pavlik (IG Aralan), were among the main speakers. Issues of a development strategy, environmental safety, changes in the system of mineral resource exploitation regulation, and other issues of mining activities were discussed.
At the Forum, ARMZ delegates discussed issues of trend mining areas – smart mine development and production robotic automation and planned joint activities for collaboration development with major players - users of mineral resources, through negotiations.
“For us, the mining division of Rosatom State Corporation, competent in the whole sphere of mining works – from geological exploration to site rehabilitation, it is important to react quickly to the sector changes. Today, amid growing markets, mining is a demanded and perspective area of digital economics. Investing into construction of new, and development of technologies of the existing, companies, we establish a modern long-term platform focused on commercial success for strategic metal provision to Russia,” Victor Svyatetskiy mentioned.
Reference: ARMZ is developing a range of non-uranium projects related to extraction of strategic metals and metals demanded on the market. This year, scandium oxide associated production was started based on Dalur JSC in Kurgan region. The largest project of the holding, Pavlovskoe filed development at Novaya Zemlya archipelago, includes construction of an integrated plant producing lead, zinc, and precious metals.
