Information Day: JSC Atomredmetzoloto Management on Their Prospects and Tasks
On October 6, at the Information Day, JSC Atomredmetzoloto management presented their business outcomes for the last 9 months with interim results of the year 2017, and reflected on their midterm prospects.
During his speech, Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Director General, reviewed his holding and sector development potential in 2018, and considered some challenges and tasks that nuclear experts were to face with in the next three years.
Key aspects of the ore mining division for the year to come were identified to be as follows: cost saving, manufacturing cost reduction, and controllable limitation for administrative and economic activities. According to the head of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., their midterm prospects were particularly based on diversification projects in potentially advantageous Kurgan Oblast, Transbaikal region, and Sakha Republic.
Victor Svyatetskiy, First Deputy Director General and COO, described the division achievements under adverse market conditions, where maintaining the manufacturing cost was the most significant one. The focus of the meeting was put on the staff, supposed to be the main valuable aspect of the nuclear sector, and company necessities to strictly control their personnel compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.
The highlight of the event was an award ceremony marking 10 years of the ore mining division and the Nuclear Industry Employee Day. Seventy employees of the holding got industry awards and certificates of merit signed by Alexey Likhachov, Director General of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, and Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Director General of JSC Atomredmetzoloto.
