ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. General Director Congratulated Company Veterans on Jubilee
On September 22, 2017, a meeting was held in JSC Atomredmetzoloto between the veterans and the company management. During the tea-table talk, the persons present discussed the realities and the development prospects of the mining division of State Corporation Rosatom. Reaching the break-even level of performance by all three uranium mining companies, exploring and developing new cost effective deposits, extending competencies and new holding-based business ventures are the issues that were supported and highly appraised by people committed to their life-time profession.
Traditionally, the attendees were greeted by the head of the mining division Vladimir Verkhovtsev. He congratulated the veterans on the company jubilee, having underlined the following: “The history of management of the nuclear industry materials sector dates back to distant 1953 which is the date specified on the order on establishing the USSR Ministry of Medium Machine Building. Over that period, our predecessors created the world largest uranium mining plant and this is where you have contributed a lot, dear veterans. This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of ARMZ as a successor and follower of the traditions established”.
An expanded edition of the book “Creation and Development of the National Nuclear Industry Mineral Resources Base” was also presented at the meeting, where the raw material industry recent history, as well as the everyday life and achievements of ARMZ Uranium Holding have been reflected. Vladimir Verkhovtsev expressed his appreciation to nuclear veteran N.P. Petrukhin, who was the initiator and the author of the book, for the work performed.
