Largest Companies Discussed Nuclear Power Industry Growth Prospects at the Last 42nd Symposium of the World Nuclear Association
The managers and stakeholders of the world nuclear industry have summarized the results of the past year and have discussed the industry development prospects at the 42nd Symposium of the World Nuclear Association (WNA) held in London.
Vladimir Verkhovtsev, the General Director of JSC Atomredmetzoloto, and Marina Liborakina, the Deputy General Director for Strategy and Business Development, have taken part in the event’s main program.
“The past business year has once again demonstrated how dynamically and rapidly the nuclear industry is changing and developing. Being aware of the recent trends, hearing the colleagues’ viewpoints and forecasts are the prerequisites for openness to changes and the opportunity to adjust or update own development plans. Besides, the symposium is an extremely convenient venue for holding meetings and negotiations with the current and prospective partners”, - Vladimir Verkhovtsev noted following the results of the event.
According to Marina Liborakina, the issues related to efficiency, safety, stability and environmental compatibility of the power sources utilized have been increasingly focused on in the recent discussions. “The nuclear power industry keeps leading positions regarding all above-stated criteria. Therefore, it may become the best choice not only for the developing еeconomies, but also for the countries having an interest in the well-balanced power balance, cleaner “green” power sources, and state-of-the-art technologies currently offered by our industry”, - the top manager has added.
The World Nuclear Association Symposium is the most high-profile event in the world nuclear power industry, which is annually visited by over 600 delegates from more than 30 countries representing the interests of about 200 companies.
