As of this day Aleksandr Borisovich Glotov Александр proceeded to performance of his official duties as the General Director of PJSC PIMCU


When introducing a new senior executive officer to the employees of the enterprise, Victor Svaytetsky, the First Deputy General Director – Executive Director of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., outlined the key tasks for the foreseeable future: “Construction of mine No 6 is critically important to provide for the sustainable operation of the association for some decades to come and for the normal life of Krasnokamensk. This task is not only and not so much the task for the General Director, but for the whole team and for the entire staff. In August of this year, the tenders for construction of all infrastructure facilities of the new mine (mining water disposal facilities, substation, access ways, etc.) totaling RUB 2.5 bln must be announced. In November, we will summarize the tender results and after that the construction may be started. The second task is to increase the output at the “Urtuyskoye” surface mine office, the third task is to ensure unconditional execution of the uranium plan and to prevent main product cost development”.

Sergey Shurygin, who has been the head of PIMCU since 2013, wished Aleksandr Glotov every success. “The most important thing is to work according to the principle: “There are no unmanageable issues”. Then everything is going to work out. The current team has already repeatedly proved that the most ambitious tasks are within its scope of abilities”, - Sergey Shurygin noted.

Aleksandr Glotov in his speech pointed out that it is necessary to further develop the ongoing programs for growth of operating efficiency, loss management system, the projects of the “Rosatom Production System”: “PIMCU coming to the breakeven level of performance based on 2016 results attests to the fact that the personnel wishes permanent improvements, is able to cut the lead time, and to reduce losses and costs. We have no other way except going forward”. The General Director has outlined among the production goals the construction of the 9th floor of mine No8, activities of the Central Research Laboratory aimed at the development of the advanced technologies for the Leach Plant, further updating of the LHD machines at the Repair and Engineering Works, etc.

A.B. Glotov was born on 14 July 1956 in Krasnodar. In 1978, he graduated from Serpukhov Higher Engineering and Command School of Strategic Missile Forces (SMF) with a degree in “Electrical Engineer”, in 1987 – F.E. Dzerzhinsky Military Academy with a degree in “Strategic Operations Control Officer”. For 10 years, he served in the nuclear and engineering maintenance forces of the Soviet Union Armed Forces. For six years, he was the head of the operational department of one of the General Staff head offices. In 1993, he was transferred to the reserve in the rank of Colonel. Has government awards – orders and medals of the Soviet Union Armed Forces.

Since April 2014 he has been holding management positions at the enterprises of ore mining division of State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom”. He was employed as the transport director of PJSC PIMCU, the deputy general director of PJSC PIMCU for performance management and development, the deputy general director for development of JSC Khiagda. Since May 2016, he has held the position of the JSC Khiagda general director.

Following the results of 2016, the enterprise under his direction has revealed positive financial result for the first time from the founding date. On the basis of the staff performance and subject to the material impact on the State Corporation consolidated performance indicators, JSC Khiagda was included into the perimeter of systemic development of Rosatom Production System. A.B. Glotov was recognized the “2016 Man of the Year of SC “Rosatom”.

Appointed the General Director of the association by the Order of the PJSC PIMCU Board of Directors dated 31 July 2017.
