New load-haul-dump unit PD-2E (ПД-2Э) produced by Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union was implemented at the exhibition in Novokuznetsk

A new model of load-haul-dump unit PD-2E produced by Machinery and Repair Plant of Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union (Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union (PJSC PIMCU) is a part of the control loop of the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. / the mining arm of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation) was implemented at the exhibition Russian coal and Mining held in Novokuznetsk. This demonstrates high interest of the consumers towards the new domestic models of the mining equipment.

So far Machinery and Repair Plant of Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union is the only manufacturer of the equipment of this class in Russia. “The results of the exhibition made it clear that we succeeded in achieving the best combination of price and quality, present the widest possible model range. In comparison with the foreign analogues the projects of the Machinery and Repair Plant’s mechanical engineers are easy to use and control and what is not least one and a half or twice cheaper” says deputy CEO, Financial Director of PJSC PIMCU Vladimir Evdokimov.

Load-haul-dump units first of all are designed for works the underground conditions. PD-2E is equipped with the electric drive unit and hydraulic brake which makes it possible for the unit to climb a grade of up to 16 degrees. This model also offers an advanced power transmission, cable reel capacity increased up to 150 m and the centralized lubricating system. Joystick control permits to make the unit operation more convenient and fast and thus to increase its capacity. This model was bought by AO KMAruda. 12 such units will be produced in total before the end of the year.

“The biggest interest is generated by the model which is to be put into operation from December 2017. It is PD-2EA equipped with the accumulators increasing its mobility. According to the results of the preliminary negotiations we can plan production of up to 20 units of this model for the domestic mining facilities in 2018” specified Vladimir Evdokimov.

The PJSC PIMCU Machinery and Repair Plant’s mechanical engineers have also designed some models of load-haul-dump units for works in specific mining and underground conditions. These are PD-1E and PD-1D being able to work in narrow roadways thanks to reduced dimensions.

The model range of load-haul-dump units will be demonstrated at the exhibition IMPORT PHASE-OUT which takes place at the International Exhibition Center Crocus Expo in Moscow from 12 to 14 of September, 2017.
