PJSC "PIMCU" has summarized results of improvement works in 2016


Within the passed year employees of the association have submitted 218 suggestions for optimization. Implementation of these suggestions has led to real economic effect, detection and liquidation of delays and unification of processes. All 227 inventors have been paid bonuses according to the obtained effect. The sum of bonuses amounted to total of 2.1 million rubles. Leaders as per quantity of submitted suggestions are Repair and machinery plant (RMZ), Department of production support (DPS) and Hydrometallurgical plant (HMP), as per economic effect — DPS, Shaft Sinking Department (SSD) and Streltsovsky Construction and Repair Trust (SCRT). The largest number of improvement suggestions, 12, have been submitted by RMZ repair fitter Lopson Angarkhaev. The biggest bonus paid to co-inventors of an improvement suggestion amounted to 240 thousand rubles for team of innovators.

Suggestions have been submitted by employees that have to come up with practical solutions for process tasks every day. They are the very persons interested in saving, constant improvements, implementation of projects of Rosatom Process System.

Among the most significant implemented suggestions is the “Increase in service life of wheel pairs fir electric locomotive 10 КР”. Otto Schilke, Deputy Director of RMZ for Operations, have adopted new design and wheel manufacturing process. Before, the blank part have been cast from steel. Now the hub is made of gray cast iron, and steel is used for operating surface. Then, beltline is put on a hub preliminarily having heated to 400 degrees. This technique allowed increasing wheel pair durability, with economic effect of 2.012 million rubles in 2016.

According to suggestion of Alexander Korolev, instructor for occupations in SSD, the process of 2КВ milling complex operation has been improved. In order to avoid double trip of drilling assembly, ring to chisel replacement has been suggested. Alexander Vasin, Deputy Chief Engineer of SSD, has suggested an update for reamer bit of 2КВ milling complex. Economic effect of this measure — 3.5 million rubles.

The sulfuric acid shop, according to suggestion made by Nikolay Smirnov, head of the shop, started using steam condensate from melting and filtering in cooler infeed and acid dilution. Adoption of new materials for acid pumps chamber helps protecting it from abrasive wear and aggressive impacts. These measures helped saving near 500 thousand rubles.

Alexey Bobrov, Deputy General Director of PJSC "PIMCU" for Operational Efficiency, believes that in 2017 the number of improvement suggestions will increase. “The employees are sure that their efforts will be noted and paid for, and this gives us 100 % results. In case the improvement suggestion is actually valuable, and all documents are drawn according to the established regulations, there will be no problems with getting the bonus,” said the Deputy General Director.
