Hiagda JSC Started Implementing 41 Projects within Rosatom Production System (RPS)
These will help reducing the lead times. increasing efficiency, cutting costs of final production — natural uranium concentrate (“yellow cake”).
“We consider our main RPS project to be the project to cut the time it takes to prepare the deposit. We are meeting the deadlines of construction and commissioning of the main production facilities of the chain, looking for root causes of arising issues right away, and deal with them without delay. We have successfully prepared current and target condition diagrams of main product flow (yellow cake) and new deposit construction flow (from procurement procedures to construction projects to final production). In 2017 it is necessary to achieve reduction of final production costs by means of maximum saving of consumables, increase efficiency of such valuable resource as working time distribution,” said Andrey Prostakishin, Deputy Director General at JSC Khiagda.
Names of projects are speaking for themselves. These are: “Cutting of lead time for final production shipment”, “Optimization of main chemical reagents usage in the leaching shop”, “Optimization of chemical reagents supply logistics”, “Optimization of lead time of metal layout at repair and mechanic section”, etc.
According to decision of State Atomic Energy Corporation, JSC Khiagda is included as part of RPS system deployment in 2017. Of all 155 enterprises of the industry, there are only five candidates for the title of RPS leader. Decision to include JSC Khiagda for system deployment of Rosatom Production system has been adopted as the result of work of RPS projects development and implementation team. The letter by State Corporation Rosatom “On selection of enterprises for RPS deployment in 2017” reads as follows: the decision to include JSC Khiagda for RPS system deployment has been adopted “in view of significant influence on consolidated performance of the State Corporation”. This is true. The costs of uranium mined in Bauntovsky Evenki District of the Republic of Buryatia are the main constitute of costs of fuel assemblies.
“The amount of work ahead is really vast across all lines of business: optimization of production and office management processes, detection and elimination of losses, further training of personnel, etc. Each one of us must see and understand the means to improve work on every section or division, suggest and implement such means. The well coordinated work is half the battle. Only joint efforts can help us get the distinguished title of RPS leader”, noted Alexander Glotov, Director General at JSC Khiagda.
