Dialogues Held at JSC Atomredmetzoloto within the Preparation of the Annual Report 2016


On 8 February 2017, two dialogues were held with stakeholders within the preparation for the public integrated annual report of JSC Atomredmetzoloto for 2016. Those were mainly targeted at the discussion of the Report’s priority topic: “Ensuring Competitiveness of the Russian Uranium: Results and Prospects”.
The Report will be the ninth public documents uncovering the Company’s activities in the past year. The dialogues were attended by the representatives of JSC Atomredmetzoloto, Rosatom State Corporation, government authorities, academic and research institutions, trade union bodies and the media. Video conferencing was set up with the regions of the company operation

Ivan Krupyanko, Head of the Department for Public and Regional Authorities’ Relations, made opening remarks on the results of the reporting campaign 2016 and the annual report concept. In his speech, he noted the main achievements of the 2015 report and reminded the report’s key targets, tasks and functions, as well as its priority topic and structure.

Victor Svyatetskiy, First Deputy Director General and Chief Operating Officer, reported on performance indicators of JSC Atomredmetzoloto in the first part of the dialogues. The speaker listed the main achievement of the Holding Company’s production sites in 2016 and the strategic targets for 2017 being reduction and maintenance of the COR of the output products. Maintenance of break-even operation, “zero” level of fatal accidents, project “Mine No. 6”, PSEDA “Krasnokamensk” and receipt of the first scandium products were listed among priority tasks of the Division for 2017.
 
The second part of the dialogues featured video-conference speeches made by the representatives of the major production assets of the Holding Company. Sergey Shurigin, Director General of PJSC PIMCU, noted that PIMCU had obtained positive financial result for the first time since 2011; the entire production program was executed as well. He specified the basic Plant activity indicators, in particular, increased financial result from RUR -3,391 million in 2013 to RUR 14 million in 2016. He also characterized the major events of the past year and the key result thereof being the achievement of break-even operation.

Andrey Gladyshev, Production Director of JSC Khiagda, presented the figures regarding the implementation of the key performance indicators for 2016 (release of 540.2 tons of uranium) and specified the main enterprise achievements: commissioning of sulfuric acid production to the constant operation mode; commissioning of the energy complex; authorization for commissioning the facilities of the Stage 3 of the Khiagdinskoe field construction, etc. He also described the targets for 2017 being the development of Istochnoye and Vershinnoye fields and the increase in uranium production to 693 tons per year.
 
The dialogues were terminated by the presentation of the year results made by Nikolay Poponin, Director General of JSC Dalur, where he noted the early commissioning of the mining blocks at Khokhlovskoye and Dalmatovskoye fields and the implementation of the uranium mining plans by 100.1%.

Representatives of the stakeholders articulated their suggestions and recommendations on the priority topic disclosure in the report. The next and the final dialogue in the public consultation format, where the draft annual report shall be discussed, is suggested to be held in mid-April.
