We are currently considering around 20 projects, with the total amount of investments exceeding RUB 30 bln. Yet another important direction of work is the long-term target program to develop the city’s social infrastructure financed by Rosatom’s Consolidated Group of Taxpayers. We have agreed to create a joint working group, that will be distributing the money and monitor its timely provision,” Natalya Zhdanova said in her concluding remarks.
After the meeting General Director of PIMCU Sergey Shurygin presented Natalya Zhdanova an icon of St. Nicholas the Miracle-Worker, and said: “This saint keeps and protects miners, let him now protect and keep you.”
At the meeting with PIMCU employees that took place in the Assembly Hall of the Hydrometallurgy Plant Natalya Zhdanova noted that the Krai Government’s priority task is to continue supporting the mining industry of the region: “This is our traditional, systemic and budget-forming industry, and PIMCU is the largest enterprise in the sector. Without developing the industry, we will not be able to form the budget or implement any social programs.”
Answering the questions from the audience, the head of the region said: “I never give empty promises. But regarding construction of new Mine No. 6 I can safely say that this project will be implemented. This is one of top priority projects for Zabaikalye, and the Russian Premier has suggested financing part of the project with the money of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; Rosatom State Corporation will help share the costs. This will help develop the local industry and the city, and create new jobs.”
