Investors Considering the Construction of a Special Cements Plant in Krasnokamensk
ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., Polymer-Resource-Voronezh LLC, Research and Testing Centre “GiproCement Science and Quality Control” Ltd., PSP Engineering a.s., a private investor Vyacheslav Delyukin and administration of Krasnokamensk represented by Yuri Didenko, signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of construction of a special cements plant in Krasnokamensk, Trans-Baikal Territory.
This agreement is aimed at establishing an industrial plant for the production of artificial cement and various kinds of special cements, as demanded in the market of the Far East and the Baikal region, with a production capacity of more than 1 million tons per year on the basis of the single-industry city of Krasnokamensk. This project is a part of the business diversification program implemented in Krasnokamensk targeted at the disclosure of the socio-economic potential of the region, the investment climate improvement and the most efficient use of personnel, infrastructure and transport capacity of the existing production facilities in the area.
ARMZ will support the enterprise established. Commencement of implementation of this investment project is the first significant result of the Centre for Promising Projects and Technology recently established under the resolution issued by Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Director General of Atomredmetzoloto JSC.
Victor Svyatetskiy, Chief Operating Officer of ARMZ, said after the ceremony, “The development of any region is impossible without the development of business, without the establishment of new modern enterprises or attraction of new long-term investments. ARMZ sees its mission in assisting potential investors who believe in the opportunities that Trans-Baikal Territory can provide. We hope that this agreement is the first step in creating modern and efficient production in the Krasnokamensk area, which will provide new jobs for the city and high-quality and competitive products for the region. We are glad to sign this agreement. The project is relevant and timely for Krasnokamensk and the entire Trans-Baikal Territory, which, I am sure, will be followed by others”.
The parties are currently considering different options for a possible structure and stakes in the enterprise established.
