Krasnokamensk hosted celebrations dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Hydrometallurgical Plant

The main commemorative event in the assembly hall of the plant started with photo chronicles. Unique historical photographs covered the entire history of the company. Young, happy and smiling factory workers looked on the guests from the photographs which became so vivid for a moment. The pictures showed them taking part in the volunteer clean-up activities, performing at a musical evening, taking part in the May Day demonstration, and receiving well-deserved sports awards.

Congratulating the workers of the Hydrometallurgical Plant on the anniversary, Deputy Director General of PIMCU Boris Prosekin said: "Our plant is not just high-tech equipment, unique process chain and more than 120 thousand tons of output of finished product: most of all it is people. All our production achievements would be impossible without you, your skillful hands and bright minds. It is gratifying that our team has been achieving the set objectives stably and smoothly for decades, in full compliance with the plan and performance indicators. Today the plant is entering a new phase of development. We have reconstruction and deep modernization of our facility ahead of us, and I have no doubt all the tasks will be performed that thanks to you."

Factory workers greeted with applause their colleagues awarded in honor of the anniversary. For example, a mark of labor distinction "Veteran of Nuclear Energy and Industry" was awarded to sulfuric acid plant operator Olga Kaspirovich, Shop No. 2 rare earths separation plant operator Vladimir Vaulin, Shop No. 2 annealing machine operator Ruslan Ten, Shop No. 2 electric and gas welder Andrey Korenev, Shop No. 1 crane operator Lyubov Gavrilova, maintenance shop engineer Viktor Karmishin, Ship No. 4 crusher plant operator Nikolai Nizhegorodtsev. Even before the Hydrometallurgical Plant was commissioned, they took part in its construction and start-up. "We were working not for the sake of awards and high ranks, and never complained when there was a need to stay at the site for days. When the first batch of uranium oxide concentrate was produced, we all felt some boyish pride of being a part of such an event, and, of course, strived to dedicated our life to the factory", recalled Hydrometallurgical Plant’s Director Viktor Gorbunov during a meeting with veterans of the enterprise.

Veterans of the plant were congratulated by the Deputy Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
