JSC Atomredmetzoloto holds public consultations on the 2015 draft annual report

On April 29, 2016, within the framework of public consultations held, JSC Atomredmetzoloto presented the 2015 draft annual report (hereinafter, the Report), which is the eighth integrated report of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

Representatives from a wide circle of stakeholders, including federal and municipal authorities, international bodies and companies of the nuclear industry, as well as academic, scientific and environmental organisations, had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the draft Report in advance.

Marina Liborakina, Head of Report Preparation Working Group, noted in her introductory address that ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. has had the established tradition of preparing public reports. Since 2009, State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom has implemented a public reporting project, having been aware that the world-class businesses are judged by the level of their openness, and also by availability and completeness of information they disclose. ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. understands that the target audience of the Report is very diverse, including the holding company staff, investment community and environmental non-governmental organisations paying close attention to nuclear safety issues. It was noted that “the report gives a true and attractive overview of the holding company activity by answering the questions about what we are proud of and criticised for and how we will respond to such criticism.”

Viktor Svyatetsky, First Deputy Director General – Executive Director, within the framework of the main presentation, talked about the main results achieved by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. in 2015 and commented on its key indicators. Among major achievements of the holding company, he mentioned reduced occupational injury rate. The primary trend over the recent years has been declining share of high-cost uranium production (underground mining) and increasing volumes of uranium production with the use of cheaper mining technologies (in-situ leaching). In 2015, achievements of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. have been acknowledged by placing its mining division first in the aggregate rankings of the divisions of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. The presentation also outlined strategic objectives of the mining division for 2016.

The next two speakers, Andrey Gladyshev, Acting Director General of JSC Khiagda, and Maksim Skorobogatov, Deputy Director of JSC VNIPIpromtekhnologii, gave a brief overview of the main achievements of their companies in 2015 and outlined development priorities for 2016, as well as for the mid-term.

Marina Liborakina, Deputy Director General for Strategy and Business Development, presented the draft Report, the main objectives of its preparation, its priority subject and major differences as compared to the previous year report. In conclusion, Marina Liborakina proposed for stakeholders’ discussion issues on improvement of the Report, as well as on enhancement of the interaction between ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. and the stakeholders.

Representatives of the stakeholders articulated their suggestions and recommendations on improvement of the draft Report. The company management expressed appreciation to the event participants for attentively reading the draft Report and promised to take into consideration all the remarks during the follow-up revision process.

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to our site. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
