VNIPIpromtekhnologii implements projects as a general contractor

VNIPIpromtekhnologii JSC (Engineering Center of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.) in 2015 expanded its competence by starting implementation of projects as a general contractor. The key project in this area was the development and implementation of yellow cake drying technology at Dalur JSC, designed to improve finished product quality. The ceremonial start of the new drying plant took place in November last year.

The innovative project ("Drying") was the first one where the Engineering Center acted as general contractor for the entire project chain, including R&D and commissioning, as well as provided warranty support for the facility.

Successful implementation of the project created new competences of the Engineering Center and gave a start to several other general contracting projects, including the construction of a new CHP ash dump and reconstruction of Sredneye tailing dump at PIMCU PJSC.

Another significant milestone for the company was the contract with Khiagda JSC for a set of works on Istochnoye deposit infrastructure development. Along with preparation for the construction and assembly works on the deposit, examination of project documentation at Glavgosexpertiza of Russia FAI is being carried out.

It is worth noting that at the end of 2015 the staff of VNIPIpromtekhnologii completed a tremendous amount of work on preparation of projects for delivery to Glavgosexpertiza of Russia FAI. Obtaining Glavgosekspertiza opinions in 2016 on seven projects that are being already implemented, as well on those which are being prepared for expert examination is a trend for further development of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.’s subsidiaries; and for the Engineering Center it is a key and successful groundwork for upcoming projects.

The work on restoration of the injection well at liquid radioactive waste repository of Dimitrovgrad Branch of NO RAO FSUE is especially worth noticing. This unique work was performed with a high safety level and for the first time without stopping the operation of the repository.

In addition to the engineering projects, VNIPIpromtekhnologii in 2016 will continue to leverage its traditional competences in R&D, planning and surveying area. The priority projects include PIMCU’s Mine No. 6 project, Nizhnekamsky massif, implementation of State Contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on extraction of associated scandium and rare-earth metals at Dalur JSC and a project involving the use of paste filling based on uranium ore tailings to backfill underground chambers formed during ore extraction at PIMCU PJSC, which commenced in 2015.

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
