ARMZ team reached the final of the "What? Where? When? Synchronous Championship among the nuclear industry enterprises
On October 10, the regional stage of the "What? Where? When?" Synchronous Championship among Rosatom enterprises was held, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the nuclear industry. The project operator was the Information Center for Nuclear Energy.
79 teams from 19 cities where Rosatom operates competed to qualify for the final: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kurchatov, Udomlya, Ekaterinburg, Tomsk, Smolensk, Saratov, Glazov, Novosibirsk, Murmansk and others. The competition was carried out through intercom telephony: 90 players participated simultaneously in the eastern part of the country, and about 380 in the west. The largest game venue was Moscow, which brought together 26 teams.
During the game, the participants were trying to find answers both to questions related to nuclear industry, and to general topics. The stage included 30 questions that were announced in the East of the country by "What? Where? When?" Club member, Team Captain Elena Potanina, and by Rosatom Team Captain Konstantin Ruder in the West. The best result in the West was achieved by Kursk NPP Team "6 of the 46th" (Kurchatov), which gave 24 correct answers. The team of Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Kombinat Elektrokhimpribor "EKHP-2" (Lesnoy town) won in the East, giving 21 correct answers.
In total, 38 teams reached the final. Among ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. enterprises, three teams applied for participation in the championship - JSC Atomredmetzoloto, LLC ARMZ Service and JSC Rusburmash. All of them reached the final.
