JSC Khiagda and PJSC PIMCU will take part in the investment project tender


The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation placed information about the investment project tender aimed at developing the Far East and the Trans-Baikal Territory. The tender will be held in accordance with a technique approved by Decree of the Russian Federation Government No. 1055. Project will be qualified within a month after applications’ submission.

Aleksey Ulyukaev, minister of economic development, informed about it at a vising working meeting which took place in the Republic of Buryatia. Governors of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Republic of Buryatia, Irkutsk region and representatives of investors operating in these regions, including ARMZ Uranium Holding took part in it.

“One of the priority projects being implemented in the Republic of Buryatia – development of fields of the Vitimskoye uranium-ore region by JSC Khiagda – believe in the regional government. – By now nearly 20 bln, RUB have already been invested in the project, industrial site facilities haven been commissioned; however, developed infrastructure is required for subsequent project implementation. Reconstruction of the regional motor road, construction of the fiber-optical line and the power line are planned for presentation in the tender.

The Trans-Baikal Territory presented the project of Mine No.6 construction of PJSC Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union for the development of Zherlovoye and Argunskoye fields. For its successful implementation, reconstruction of the motor road from the federal road to Krasnokamensk town, construction of the shaft water treatment system and reconstruction of urban utilities are also required.

“ARMZ projects have important significance not only for the uranium mining industry but also for the development of regional infrastructure. As of today, JSC Khiagda is ready for reaching the full production capacity, the investment committee of Rosatom State Corporation made a decision on financing of PIMCU mine No. 6 construction works – summarized Valeriy Makarov, advisor to the director general of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.who participated in the meeting.
