Innovation - in production!
JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii continues implementation of the mine planning and design project on PJSC PIMCU mines. The project represents development of block 3-D models of uranium deposits’ residue reserves of the Streltsov ore field.
Main project tasks - to raise production cycle efficiency and reduce PJSC PIMCU finished product cost. The project started from deposit data consolidation by means of specialized MineFrame 5.0 software. Digitized surveying, geological-geophysical and engineering-process information is entered in the electronic data base. Based on this information three-dimensional mining-geological models are generated, which, in their turn, serve as the basis for developing mine models and plans for reserves mining of the Streltsov deposit.
This project implementation will enable to reduce the paperwork share significantly which was earlier performed by plant’s specialists manually.
“By means of mining-geological simulation one may plan most accurately ore and metal mining volumes, development and mining capital woks. Integration of advanced software methods in the production process – is a big step in the development of existing mining enterprises enabling to look anew at conventional deposit’s reserve mining methods - comments Aleksey Starodumov, director of JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii.
At present around 90% of reserves of PJSC PIMCU deposits have been optimized using mining-geological models, seven operational block development projects were prepared. A 3D-model of mine No. 8 became a pilot for PIMCU, the reserves of which are mined by means of electronic simulation. To“digitize” all deposits of the Streltsov ore field is a task for JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii till the end of the year.
