JSC Khiagda successfully implements RPS-projects

"JSC Khiagda has a good chance to become a model RPS-enterprise of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation. Significant investments have been made in construction projects, as well as the most advanced equipment and technology. All now depends on the workforce, on the strive for continuous improvement, ability to reduce the time of processes, cut costs and losses", - said development director of Rosatom Production System (RPS), a board member of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Obozov, summing up the visit to JSC Khiagda.

Preparation for implementation of RPS enterprise project was the specific purpose of the visit to JSC Khiagda (a part of the control loop of ARMZ Uranium Holding / JSC Atomredmetzoloto). "RPS projects have been developed and implemented at all of our facilities and in all divisions. This is particularly important now, when new production facilities have just been put into operation, since Rosatom Production System will improve the technology, exclude all potential losses and, ultimately, increase the output from 1,000 to 1,300 tons per year", - said general director of JSC Khiagda Alexei Dementiev.

The first facility in the production chain considered for implementation of RPS project was the railroad logistics base Kadala. Previously, sulfuric acid was accepted here and reloaded into acid tank trucks, and now the enterprise is getting ready to organize acceptance and transshipment of a new substance, namely sulfur. Already in September, JSC Khiagda will put into operation its own sulfuric acid plant; transportation volumes from Chita will be reduced by three times. "We need to organize acceptance and transshipment to prevent spillage of sulfur. For this purpose, we will work with suppliers that are able to ship the product in big bags or in special containers. Thus, here, on arrival of the cargo, we will quickly and without losses overload it on transporters", - explained deputy general director for logistics of JSC Khiagda Artem Mikhailov.

At the central production site various projects were considered, including modified finished products transportation scheme, decompression control in cold water network of the pregnant solutions processing plant, optimized use of filling premises etc. "We understand that even seemingly small and insignificant improvements matter,. After all, taken as a whole, implementation of such proposals allows the company to significantly save time, labor reserves, chemicals,"- said chief engineer of production and technical department of JSC Khiagda Kamol Kadyrov.

By the way, a competition for proposals for improvements among employees of JSC Khiagda is held quarterly. Authors of the best ideas are paid cash bonuses.

Sergei Obozov gave recommendations on implementation of new RPS-projects, organization of training, performance analysis. "Only through joint efforts we will be able to implement our plans and create a model facility," - said general director of ARMZ Uranium Holding Vladimir Verkhovtsev.

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to our site. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
