RF Presidential Plenipotentiary RF Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Siberian Federal District Nikolai Rogozhkin made a working visit to PIMCU

Nikolai Rogozhkin was accompanied by Governor of Zabaykalsky Krai Konstantin Ilkovsky, Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government Alexey Chemetov, Chief Federal Inspector for Zabaykalsky Krai Nikolai Gantimurov, and other officials. The main task of the visit was formulated by Zabaykalsky Krai Governor: "We have to make a decision on the future of Krasnokamensk. Above all, this concerns implementation of the most important uranium mining development project in the country - completion of the sixth mine of PIMCU. In addition, with the help of the Plenipotentiary, we have to include Krasnokamensk in the Priority Development Territories Program."

At the airport, the representative delegation was greeted by the head of the mining arm of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Deputy Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding for Special Projects Vladimir Vysotsky, General Director of PJSC PIMCU Sergei Shurigin, heads of municipal and regional administration. Plenipotentiary of the President first visited Mine No.6, where he reviewed the project of development of Argunskoye and Zherlovoye deposits. Mineable uranium reserves of Mine No.6 are about 38 tons.

"We are aware that the reserves mined by PIMCU today are well foreseeable. Upon completion of the sixth mine, in six or seven years, PIMCU and Krasnokamensk will continue further development. Therefore, we should start today. It's a lot of money - about 30 billion rubles. But if we divide it into six or seven years, we get 4.5 billion a year. This money can be found, and we will find them, "- noted Konstantin Ilkovsky.

The delegation also visited other facilities of PIMCU: currently operating underground uranium Mine No.8, sulfuric acid plant, coal mine Urtuysky, Repair and Engineering Works.

After the meeting at the office of PJSC PIMCU, Nikolai Rogozhkin announced preliminary results of the visit: "The conclusion I made for myself is that today, together with the administration of Zabaykalsky Krai we have to focus on the development of productive resources of the territory of Krasnokamensk region. There may be various formats and methods in addressing this problem. We have to think through all our steps to assist the head of the region, the city, the management company to purposefully approach the country's leadership. The question of development of Krasnokamensk needs to be moved from the point where it presently stands. To do this, we need to make every possible effort. This is what we will discuss at the final meeting with the Government of Zabaykalsky Krai on March 27th."

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
