“Who owns the information, owns the world” –RUSBURMASH holds Awareness Days

The first ten-day period of February 2015 was marked by a series of Awareness Days held at regional subdivisions of JSC RUSBURMASH. During the ten days, a working group headed by Igor Saveliev, Director General of JSC Rusburmash, travelled over 15,000 kilometres and met with employees in Moscow, at Irkutsk’s and Chita’s branches, visited drill sites in the Kurgan Region, Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Main topics of the Awareness Days included: summarizing results of RUSBURMASH operations in 2014; setting targets for 2015; enhancing efficiency; and diversifying and entering new markets.

In his speech, Igor Saveliev, listing achievements of 2014, noted that RUSBURMASH not just managed to satisfy 100% of the Holding Company’s demands for drilling services, but also made an impressive step towards entering the exterior market. For example, SUEK, RusHydro and RosRAO became the company’s new clients, while its external proceeds more than quadrupled against 2013, even in spite of signs of recession recently shown by the geological and mining industries.

Among other significant achievements, the Director General mentioned completion of the surveying phase of the Pavlovskoye project and evacuation of people and machinery from the Novaya Zemlya archipelago.

Participants in the Awareness Days paid special attention to the results of organizational structure optimization and implementation of the Efficiency Enhancement Programme. In 2014, cumulative economic effect of these undertakings amounted to 86.3 million rubles. Igor Saveliev explained: “To be competitive, to overcome stagnation suffered by the industry, to annually extend the portfolio of contracts and to strengthen our presence on the external market, we need to continually strive to improve productivity and reduce cost of services provided by our company. RUSBURMASH is facing an ambitious goal: to reduce cost of drilling by 30% by 2019, while increasing productivity by the same 30%.”

Noteworthy, each employee of RUSBURMASH can make a contribution to developing and implementing the Efficiency Enhancement Programme. To this end, one should prepare an improvement suggestion for cutting the company’s expenses, upgrading the technological process or raising labour productivity. After economic efficiency is calculated, those whose suggestions are introduced will be paid a bonus.

Within the framework of the Awareness Days, Sergey Demchenko, Deputy Director General for Drilling and Services, summarized the results of the 2014 production programme. In particular, Sergey Demchenko touched upon issues such as the necessity of saving, cutting in-stock balances and observing labour safety regulations.

Yuliya Korableva, HR Director, reported about social programmes pursued by the company, as well as about envisaged new developments in this area. Thus, the programme entitled For the First Time to School will be launched as early as 2015. All families whose children are accepted to the first grade will receive a gift – a school bag with stationery.

Herewith, Yuliya Korableva noted that RUSBURMASH pays much attention to employees reaching high performance indicators and expressed her personal gratitude to those who particularly distinguished themselves. In 2014, 127 professionals were honoured with various awards.
At the end of the Awareness Day, subdivisions’ employees asked questions, made their suggestions and discussed the most relevant issued with the management.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
