JSC Atomredmetzoloto holds dialogues within framework of 2013 Annual Report preparation


On March 26, 2014, JSC Atomredmetzoloto held two dialogues with stakeholders within the framework of the 2013 Public Annual Report preparation. Priority subjects of the future report were considered, including structural adjustments in the mining arm of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation; enhancing efficiency in Russia’s part of the mining arm; and major production results following the year-end.

The dialogues involved the participation of representatives from JSC Atomredmetzoloto, ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, JSC Atomenergomash, JSC Techsnabexport, state authorities, scientific and research organizations, trade unions, and mass media. Videoconferencing with the presence regions of JSC Khiagda, JSC Dalur and JSC PIMCU was established.

During the first part of the dialogue, Igor Zhilkin, First Deputy Director General – Chief Operating Officer of JSC Atomredmetzoloto, made his presentation, focusing on main lines of activities. In particular, he stressed that in 2013, accident rate decreased by 48% as compared to the previous three-year period in the area of occupational health, industrial and radiation safety. Casualty rate almost halved. Tasks and activities aimed at reaching LTIFR KPI target value for 2014 were outlined. Within the area of uranium production by Russian manufacturers it was noted that uranium production plan had been fulfilled with low production costs; stocks for the 2014 production programme and partly for the 2015 production programme were prepared (in 2013, 15,113 mining and development operations); activities aimed at efficiency enhancement helped raise labour productivity, while uranium production costs reduced by 3%. I.E. Zhilkin in his presentation cited major results concerning the Rosatom Production System implementation in 2013 and goals for 2014, and also assessed capital asset and investment project management.

Director General I.P. Saveliev reported on major results of JSC RUSBURMASH operations in 2013. He noted that JSC RUSBURMASH is the largest dynamically developing state geological company capable of performing the entire range of drilling operations in fields. In the accounting period, total volume of the company’s drilling operations for 2013 increased to 1,118,800 linear meters. In 2013, proved economic effect amounted to 27 million roubles. Main tasks and objectives for 2014 involve developing domestic market and diversifying business.

Presentation by JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii Director V.S. Svyatetsky was devoted to the company’s activity results in 2013. Having given a brief overview of major events in the accounting period, he cited financial, production and scientific data, and also showed the company’s development prospects for 2014.

The second part of the dialogues was devoted to discussing main structural adjustments of the holding company that occurred in 2013. An overview of Rosatom’s mining arm evolution under conditions of global adjustments on the world’s uranium market was presented by V.S. Vasilyeva, Uranium One Holding Communications Director. Co-speaker, Yu.I. Semina, JSC Atomredmetzoloto Corporate Governance Director, reported on restructurization of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation assets in the uranium mining segment.
A conclusive report on the JSC Atomredmetzoloto development concept was presented by Marina Liborakina, Deputy Director General for Strategy.

Representatives of stakeholders expressed their suggestions and recommendations concerning addressing priority subjects in the report. The next, final dialogue in the public consultation format to discuss the draft annual report is suggested to be held in late April.
