ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Holds Corporate Olympic Games

On September 21, corporate Olympic Games among employees of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (JSC Atomredmetzoloto) and its affiliated companies were held on the beach at Serebryany Bor in Moscow. 196 people took part in the competitions. They represented teams of JSC Atomredmetzoloto, JSC PIMCU, JSC Dalur, LLC ESK ARMZ, JSC RUSBURMASH, JSC Elkon MMP, and JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii. For children of the Holding companies’ employees, who made up their own team, a special sports day programme, including a family relay, was developed.
Such corporate competitions were organized for employees of JSC Atomredmetzoloto and its subsidiaries and affiliates for the first time. The contest under the motto “Olympics in Sochi start from ARMZ” was devoted to the XXII Winter Olympic Games to be held in February 2014 in Sochi.
The participants competed in seven kinds of sports – futsal, volleyball, ping pong, chess, darts, relay, and kettlebell lifting.
During the inauguration ceremony, Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. delivered a welcome address to the sportsmen. He wished them luck and expressed his hope that in spite of its competitiveness the event would help to strengthen the team spirit. “Such competitions not only give the opportunity to rest from work routine, but also allow each employee to demonstrate his or her individual skills and excellence. The Olympic Games suggest honest sports contest, help people to get to know one another better, and facilitate fellowship. Though you will contest with each other, you will still remain a single team – that of the companies of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.,” noted Vladimir Verkhovtsev.
Address by Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. was followed by ceremonial lighting of the corporate Olympic flame, which was burning for the whole day despite a rainy weather.
JSC PIMCU’s team excelled simultaneously in two kinds of sports – volleyball and futsal. The first place in darts went to the team of JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii. Viktor Yan from JSC RUSBURMASH distinguished himself in individual competitions – he lifted a 24 kg kettlebell 107 times. In ping pong contest, Natalya Polosatova (VNIPIpromtechnologii) won among women, and Igor Zhilkin (ARMZ) took the first place among men. Alina Kruchinina (ARMZ) was the best in a relay. Results of the chess tournament became a pleasant surprise: the first and second places were won by JSC Dalur employees’ children, Valeriya Paderina and Anton Mylnikov, who played chess on equal ground with adult participants.
Based on the overall teams’ scores, gold was won by a joint team of ARMZ and ESK, silver went to JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii, and JSC Dalur’s team came in third place.
During the closing ceremony, cups, medals, and trophies were awarded to the winners. Special gifts were presented to the most active participants and supporters.
The Olympics ended with spectacular fireworks.

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to our site. We believe that it is useful to our users to see advertisements that are more relevant to their interests. If you are based in the European Union and would like to learn more about how advertisers use these types of cookies or to choose not to receive them, please visit www.youronlinechoices.eu.

We also use or allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into the four categories above. For example, like many companies, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic. We may also enable third parties to serve cookies to help to identify fraudulent or non-human traffic on some of our websites. We may also use third party cookies to help us with market research, revenue tracking, improving site functionality and monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and copyright policy.

Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
