Representatives of OJSC Atomredmetzoloto Take Part in the Russian-Mongolian Meeting on Cooperation in Nuclear Power and Uranium Mining
On January 22, 2009 during the working visit of the Mongolian Prime Minister Sanjaagiin Bayar to Irkutsk the Russian and Mongolian delegations had a meeting. The delegates discussed bilateral relations in the nuclear power development and mining and processing of uranium.
In the nearest future the parties intend to sign a cooperation agreement which will contemplate a possible formation of a joint venture. It is proposed that the joint venture will be engaged in uranium mining in Mongolia and Russia, processing of uranium, and formation and implementation of the development and training programs. The Russian side in the project will be represented by JSC Atomredmetzoloto.
The Mongolian delegation included the Member of the People’s Great Hural H. Badamsuren, Mongolia Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia L. Hangai, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Foreign Policy Od Och, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Legal Mattes and Chairman of the Committee for State Property of Mongolia D. Sugar, Chairman of the Agency for Nuclear Power of Mongolia S. Enhbat, D. Batbaatar.
The Russian delegation included Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Trade and Economic and Investment Cooperation with Mongolia A.V. Gordee, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Mongolia, General Director of the State Corporation Rosatom S.V. Kirienko, General Director JSC Atomredmetzoloto V.L. Zhivov, Advisor to the General Director of JSC Atomredmetzoloto S.V. Rezbaev and B.A. Govorin.
