PIMCU: State Order in Uranium Oxide Fulfilled 100%

Victor Svyatetskiy, Executive Director of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., congratulated the work collective on the fulfillment of the production plan and the upcoming New Year and Christmas. Particularly, he said: «The 2018th was tense, but effective and symbolic. Never in its half-a-century history has the flagship enterprise of the Russian uranium mining allowed disruptions in the implementation of the production program. That is why, as a mark of the merits of the whole work collective, PIMCU in the outgoing year was honored to bear the name of the legendary Minister of Medium Machine-Building of the USSR, E.P. Slavsky. For a great contribution to the development of the nuclear industry and the strengthening of the country’s defense, the work collective was presented with a letter of gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation. Ahead of PIMCU — many decades of further development, the key to this is the construction of a new uranium mine No. 6 that has begun.»

The results of the outgoing year at the traditional pre-New Year meeting with the work collective were summarized by Alexander Glotov, Director General of E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC. «The achievement of production and financial indices is the result of the well-coordinated work of the divisions and the highest responsibility for the result,» he emphasized.

Alexander Glotov said that the plan for the extraction and sale of brown coal was fulfilled in the amount of 3.027 million tons. Next year, this figure should be increase to 3.2 million tons. In order to do that, the implementation of the fleet renewal program for the Urtui mine continues. For the timely shipment of coal to consumers next year it is planned to purchase a diesel locomotive and railcars.

«The implementation of projects of the Rosatom Production System and the introduction of improvement proposals submitted by employees have a significant impact on cost reduction in all divisions,» said Alexander Glotov. Among the nearly 700 implemented RPS projects and proposals for improvements, he singled out the organization of the rhythmic work of the product extraction shafts of Mine No. 1, the manufacture of a mounted roof break scaler for a loading and hauling machine bucket and others.

Among the important indices, the Director General singled out a 13% reduction in the number of cases of theft in the workplace compared to 2017. «People understand that all cases of unlawful actions will be identified and the guilty will be punished. In addition, the attitude towards consumables and equipment is changing. Therefore, cases of theft are an exception to the rule of our multi-thousand collective,» commented Alexander Glotov. Answering the questions of those who gathered in the hall of the Dauria Community Centre, Alexander Glotov, in particular, spoke about the prospects for the development of the Repair and Mechanical Plant of PIMCU: «For the new mine No. 6, mine cages, trolleys, loading and hauling machines will be produced here. As part of diversification, we are developing the production of agricultural machinery and sports simulators. One of the promising projects is the release of ferrosilicon from pyrite butts.»

At the conclusion of the Director’s Day, the best employees at PIMCU were awarded. Valery Litvinenko, Deputy Chief Engineer for Technology, and Anatoly Zinkevich, Chief Mechanical Engineer, were awarded the Badge of Merit for the Nuclear Industry. The miner of the mining face of the Mine No. 1, Anton Reshetnikov, and the mine foreman of the Mine No. 1, Vladimir Malaschenko, were acknowledged by the Director General of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation.
