The First Ore Mining Company and Zyfra to Introduce AI-based Solutions in Far North

The document was signed at the Arkhangelsk Region bench by Igor Semenov, Executive Director of The First Ore Mining Company, and Igor Bogachev, Chief Executive Officer of ZYFRA Group. The parties intend to consider the possibility of implementing the Intellectual Pit project on robotic automation and remote control of open pit equipment at the Pavlovskoye deposit. For this, a bilateral working group will be created within 45 days. The term of the memorandum is three years. Intellectual Pit is a set of digital technologies for managing open-pit mining processes based on robot loading and transport systems, as well as industry solutions in Internet of things, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics. One of the system’s advantages is ensuring the possibility of mineral production in hard-to-reach and remote regions with difficult climatic, mining and geological conditions.
«Today, the production digitalization issues are in the focus of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation and ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Creating a new enterprise, we focus on the application of the most promising solutions based on the elements of the 4th industrial revolution. Today’s signing with Zyfra is another step towards creating a highly efficient enterprise in the difficult climatic conditions of the Far North,» said Igor Semenov.
«The enterprise operation in extreme climatic conditions is complicated, including such factors as the high cost of resources and special requirements to occupational safety. The robot systems offered by our subsidiary VIST Group, including the Intellectual Pit, allows reducing equipment downtime by 10-20% and maintenance costs by 15-18%, which ultimately leads to a reduction in production costs by 2-3 %,» noted Igor Bogachev.
For reference: The First Ore Mining Company, JSC is a pioneer of the Pavlovskoye lead-zinc deposit located on the South Island of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago in the Arkhangelsk Region and is implementing a project for its industrial development. As part of the project, it is planned to construct the most northern mining and processing plant for the production of lead and zinc concentrates with capacity of up to 3.5 million tons of ore per year.
Zyfra develops industrial digitalization technologies, invests in such products and improves the Industrial Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence environment. Company’s key fields of industry are machinery, metallurgy, mining, oil & gas and chemical enterprises. The company promotes readymade industry solutions in predictive analytics and data analysis, tech processes optimization, machinery and floor staff monitoring.
