ROSATOM’s Chief Inspector Safety Control Department Completed Scheduled Inspection at Khiagda

According to its results, the enterprise has a high level of safety culture.
The commission led by Deputy Inspector General of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation Kirill Bocharov visited the railroad base and the central production site of Khiagda, JSC. The inspectors examined the facilities of entire uranium chain: from mining sites to the main production building. Also, the organization of the system for monitoring the implementation of the state supervisory authority measures and instructions and the actual state of affairs in the safety control field were evaluated. In general, the commission took a favorable view of the work performed by the Occupational, Industrial, Radiation and Environmental Safety Department of Khiagda, JSC. «Safety is one of the core values for ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation and we, being in the first link of the entire nuclear fuel cycle chain, are fully aware of this. Safety control requires consistency, competence and weighted decisions. It is understood by every employee of our company,» said Maxim Gorash, Head of Occupational, Industrial, Radiation and Environmental Safety Department at Khiagda, JSC.
Currently, Khiagdinskoye and Istochnoye deposits are being developed by Khiagda, JSC in the Bauntovsky-Evenki District of Buryatia. Engineering and geological surveys for the construction of mining facilities have been completed at Kolichikanskoye and Dybrynskoye deposits. After the introduction of Kolichikanskoye and Dybrynskoye deposits, scheduled for 2020, the progressive development of the Namaruskoye and Koretkondinskoye deposits will begin.
