Construction of Wastewater Treatment Facilities Continues at PIMCU’s Mine No. 6

The contractors switched to a double shift working schedule and mobilized some extra equipment, including three cranes and trucks to speed up the construction. They also installed the lighting system of twenty-meter high mast lighting poles so that the builders could work in the night-time.
«The construction of Mine No. 6 is on schedule and it is ahead of schedule in some respect. We are doing everything possible so that the construction period could be shortened,» PIMCU Director General Ivan Kiselev said.
Foundations have been filled with a cement-lime mortar and they are now erecting the framing walls for the buildings and ground wastewater treatment facilities, laying outdoor engineering networks and continue to install the utility pipelines, with 4.8 km being already done. The installation of metal structures would be completed for all the buildings and facilities by October and the workers would then proceed with installing the major process equipment. The treatment facilities with a capacity of 1,300 cubic meters per day are estimated to be put into operation by the year end of 2019 and they will be able to start the construction of an underground mine infrastructure.
