Ulan-Ude Hosted «ATOMEX REGION-2019» Regional Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers

The forum is organized by Mining Division of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation.
Opening the discussion platform, Alexey Shichkov, Director for Procurement and Logistics of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., said: «The main goal of this Forum is developing a competitive environment, attracting more suppliers, ensuring information openness and transparency of the procurement activities of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation’s enterprises. In connection with the implementation of large-scale projects by Mining Division, such as construction of new mine No. 6 in Krasnokamensk, preparation for the development of mining uranium deposits in the Republic of Buryatia and the Kurgan Region, preparation for the construction of the lead and zinc plant on the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago, etc., our needs for the procurement of goods and services are constantly increasing. We are interested in attracting the maximum number of reliable and responsible suppliers, both among manufacturing enterprises and large companies, and among small- and medium-size businesses. A large number of bidders allows us to get high-quality goods and services at the lowest prices.» Sergey Zheltikov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Buryatia, told about measures to support business in the region, in particular, the systems of consulting assistance, preferential lending, and issuing guarantees, the planned subsidizing of interest rates on leasing.
The heads of departments providing procurement of goods and services for Mining Division’s enterprises (E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC; Khiagda, JSC; Dalur, JSC; RUSBURMASH, JSC; VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC; ARMZ Service, LLC), presented at the forum the enterprises’ needs for the medium term.
During the panel discussion, representatives of businesses shared their experience in bidding in the nuclear industry. According to Dmitry Goldinstein, a Forum participant: «It’s effective; that is, it’s clear and transparent. And we will try to participate and to win.» Natalya Medvedeva, Director of the Qualified Order Center of the Rosatom Corporate Academy, and Dmitry Pravnik, a procurement expert, conducted training for suppliers. Forum participants learned about the features of ROSATOM’s procurement system, the system of requirements for suppliers, the forms of control and appeal of purchases. Suppliers have been trained in preparing application documents to participate in procurement procedures. Special attention of those present was drawn to anti-corruption measures with ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation. A 24-hour «hot line» is available to combat corruption: 8-800-100-07-07. Through this number, anyone can inform about illegal actions related to procurement.
