6th Social Project Grant Competition Announced in Krasnokamensk
Social entrepreneurs, public and non-profit organizations, state and municipal institutions and volunteers from Krasnokamensk and Krasnokamensky District can participate in the annual competition. RUB 2.5 million will be allocated for the implementation of the best socially oriented projects. Applications for competitive selection can be submitted to the city Small and Medium Enterprise Support Fund (Krasnokamensk, 103, room 5) before October 25, 2019.
With the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. funds, over 60 social projects have been implemented in Krasnokamensk over the past five years. Entrepreneurs and volunteers help to solve environmental issues of the city, support those in need, develop children’s creativity, and create new jobs.
Among the projects implemented as a result of the 5th competition, it is possible to single out the installation of street simulators in the Krasnokamensk microdistricts, the arrangement of ice rink in the regional children’s tuberculosis treatment sanatorium, the purchase of sports equipment for the local organization of the National Society of the Blind, the work of the Food of Life program, where those in need receive free hot dinners, and many more.
For methodological assistance to potential grant recipients in the project formation, the «From Social Initiative to Social Entrepreneurship» forum will be held in Krasnokamensk on October 8-9. «We have a consistent policy in supporting social entrepreneurship in Krasnokamensk. It is important that it is in demand; that every year the number of the competition participants increases, and the project development quality improves. People are actively looking for interesting areas to apply their forces in, new opportunities for the development, for helping those in need. This year, we hope for the increase in the number of social initiatives from the Krasnokamensky district representatives,» said Alexander Burutin, Deputy Director General for Strategy, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
The competition organizers remind that organizations and volunteers that have been winners of the past years more than twice cannot submit applications again.
