Companies of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Celebrated Nuclear Worker’s Day

Solemn gatherings and festive concerts were held in all Russian uranium production centers: in Trans-Baikal Territory Krasnokamensk (Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC), in the Kurgan Region Uksyanskoe (Dalur, JSC) and in the shift camp in the Bauntovsky Evenki district of Buryatia (Khiagda, JSC). Honored awards were received by 400 employees of mining enterprises, of RUSBURMASH, JSC (specialized service company for geological exploration, drilling and construction works), and VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC (engineering center). «The professional holiday of nuclear workers unites people of various professions: miners, builders, metallurgists, scientists and engineers. But no division of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation can work without uranium: neither electric power, nor fuel, nuclear weapon or scientific. The nuclear fuel cycle begins with uranium mining, the safety and independence of our Motherland begins with your work,» opened the solemn meeting in the Dauria Palace of Culture in Krasnokamensk Victor Svyatetskiy, First Deputy Director General — Executive Director, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. PIMCU employees warmly welcomed colleagues awarded the high distinctions of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., and the Legislative Assembly of the Trans-Baikal Territory. For example, Evgeny Marasanov, the mining face miner of Mine No. 8, was awarded the sign «For Merit in the Nuclear Industry», Oleg Semenov, Head of the Independent Department of Civil Defense and Fire Safety, and Mikhail Ryumkin, the mining face miner of Mine No. 8, were awarded the sign «For Contribution to the Nuclear Industry Development».

«Ahead is the implementation of an ambitious project to develop the Argunskoye and Zherlovoye uranium deposits. The long-awaited Mine No. 6 will be built on the basis of the city-forming enterprise. The future of Krasnokamensk is connected to this project, so we will make every effort to implement it,» congratulated the miners Alexander Osipov, Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The 50th anniversary of the PIMCU Repair and Mechanical Plant was also celebrated on the Nuclear Worker’s Day in Krasnokamensk. Today, under an agreement between the French Aramine and the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., the enterprise produces new ARGO L140B load-haul-dumpers. As part of the production diversification, the agricultural machinery production and repair has been established. «Respect and gratitude for the excellent work to every factory worker, special gratitude goes to veteran production workers. Despite all the difficulties, you cope with all tasks with honor and move forward,» noted Ivan Kiselev, Director General, E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC.

Warm congratulations to the factory workers were made by the Head of the Krasnokamensky District Alexey Zammoev, the Head of the Urban Settlement Yuri Didenko, and the Chairman of the PIMCU Trade Union Natalya Dmitrieva.

After the solemn meeting, a sports and entertainment festival was organized for employees of Khiagda, JSC. Everyone could take a horse ride; participate in a paintball tournament and rafting. Andrey Gladyshev, Director General, Khiagda, JSC, thanked his colleagues for their conscientious work: «We are all proud of our industry and contribute to the common cause and development of our country. The Nuclear Worker’s Day is a holiday that unites all employees of our enterprise — from an operator to Director General. The common cause success depends on each of us».

The Heads of the Dalmatovsky and Shumikhinsky areas of the Kurgan region came to congratulate the employees of Dalur, JSC. They awarded the best employees with Certificates of Appreciation and Letters of Appreciation. «It is difficult to find a profession more responsible and complex than the profession of a nuclear worker. It requires not only high professional, but also human qualities. We have everything for the uranium production development in the Trans-Urals — powerful research potential, modern production basis, highly qualified personnel, and invaluable experience,» said Nikolay Poponin, Director General, Dalur, JSC.

The inter-regional boxing tournament among schoolchildren held in the Uksyanskoe village was dedicated to the Nuclear Worker’s Day. The first places in their weight categories were taken by Rustam Akhtanov and Sergey Poponin.
