PIMCU Underground Mine No.1 Started Commercial Tests of Aramine-140B

Aramine-140B is a load-haul-dump (LHD) loader being a joint brainchild by French Aramine and ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., which signed a related agreement on arranging local production capacities in the Trans-Baikal Territory during the Mining World Russia international exhibition in April 2019. The Repair and Mechanical Plant of E.P. Slavsky PIMCU, PJSC is now making preparations for assembling LHD loaders with the use of parts manufactured in France, while its workers received LHD assembly training in France. The first two LHD loaders, which were assembled in Russia, have been already employed at PIMCU Underground Mine No.1.
«The dimensions of our new equipment make it possible to work in a mining face, which may be up to 1.5 meters wide, whereas the LHD loaders we have used before can’t get through. It matters greatly that Aramine-140B loaders are battery powered to enable almost four hours of continuous operation, although the air in the mine remains free from fuel contamination,» Yevgeny Goryunov, a miner foreman, says.
«Basically, it works fine and we have no breakdown or stoppage, so the manufacturing process is never interrupted even for a minute. Its excellent brakes in addition to high maneuverability are another benefit, which is important in the mining environment, including slopes and vertical drops,» adds the miner foreman Yevgeny Vishnyakov.
The local manufacturing of LHD loaders in Krasnokamensk will help PIMCU to meet its internal needs and make it possible to enter both the Russian market and markets of the Eurasian Customs Union (EACU) with competitive products.
