E.P. Slavsky PIMCU: 2019 Target for Uranium and Brown Coal Exceeded
The plan for ore production was fulfilled by 107%, and for natural uranium concentrate production the figure is 104%. The brown coal production plan was exceeded: 3.506 million tons instead of the planned 3.2 million ones. These data were given at a traditional meeting with the employees by the enterprise Director General Ivan Kiselev. He expressed gratitude to all PIMCU employees who contributed to the common goal.
In his report the Director General paid special attention to the need to ensure occupational safety. «Since 2012, the enterprise accident rate has been reduced by 71%. But our goal is zero accident. The main priority at all management levels — from the section leader, brigade leader to Director General — is safety. The main thing is self-responsibility and concern for colleagues; taking immediate measures to eliminate hazardous conditions and factors. It is better to stop and think than to rashly take a step that will lead to a violation,» Ivan Kiselev emphasized.
The Director General spoke about the infrastructure facility construction at Mine No. 6, the main project that determines the future of Krasnokamensk: «The work is proceeding in accordance with the approved schedule. The mine water treatment plant main building and auxiliary facilities were built. Work has begun on the 20-R hoisting shaft. The tunneling equipment previously installed at 19-RESh and 13-K shaft sites will allow depreservation and fitout to begin the underground part construction.»
The Director General called financial and social stability the key 2020 goals of PIMCU.
