Hearings at Atomredmetzoloto: Preparing 2019 Reports

As part of the preparation of reporting documents for 2019, Atomredmetzoloto, JSC held two dialogues with stakeholders. In 2020, ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation and companies of nuclear industry plan to switch to a common brand. The reporting docs are also subject to change: all public information about the activities of the nuclear industry will be reflected in the annual public report of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation. The reports of the subdivisions (Atomredmetzoloto, JSC, Atomenergomash, JSC, ASE EC, JSC, Rosenergoatom, JSC, TVEL, JSC, TENEX, JSC, etc.) will be placed as part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation’s public annual report. Since the report will be released in 2020 industry’s anniversary year, the priority theme of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation’s annual report for 2019 is «Historical achievements of the Russian nuclear industry and long-term development priorities». The priority theme of the reports Atomredmetzoloto, JSC for 2019 is «the 50th anniversary of Krasnokamensk and prospects for the development of uranium mining in the territories of the Holding’s operation».
Representatives of Atomredmetzoloto, JSC, Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, government authorities, RUIE, scientific and research organizations, trade union bodies, and public organizations took part in the dialogues. Video conferencing was established with the company’s regions of operation.
Polina Lyon, the Head of Design Office, Rosatom, told about the sustainable development programs. The speaker informed that Rosatom plans to join the UN Global Treaty in 2020. In the first part of the dialogues, Viktor Svyatetskiy, First Deputy Director General and Executive Director of Atomredmetzoloto, made a report on production indicators. The speaker pointed out that the main value of the company is safety. He also noted that the production program for extraction of coal and uranium was completed by the enterprises in full. The cost of basic products has been reduced compared to the plan. The scandium extraction technology was developed at the industrial site of Dalur, JSC, and scandium oxide was obtained with a purity of at least 99.9%.
Oleg Barabanov, first Deputy Director General of Atomredmetzoloto, JSC noted a 25% increase in the share of revenue for 2019 in business areas not related to uranium. Igor Semenov, Executive Director of ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC told about the organization of import-substituting production of narrow-reach, load-haul-dump machines (LHD) at the facilities of the repair and mechanical plant of PIMCU, PJSC. Low volatility of spot quotes in 2019 was noted by Alexander Burutin, Deputy Director General of Atomredmetzoloto, JSC for strategy. In the second part of the videoconferencing dialogues, representatives of the Holding’s regions of operation spoke. The mayor of Krasnokamensk, Yuriy Didenko, spoke emotionally about the celebration of the «Golden Jubilee». Ivan Kiselev, Director General of PIMCU, PJSC, informed about the main results of work in 2019: the plan for metal production was fulfilled by 106%. Among the achievements of Dalur, JSC for 2019, Nikolay Poponin, Director General, named the implementation of the plan for uranium production and the output of finished products by 103.7%, as well as a reduction in cost by 6%. In the speech of Andrey Gladyshev, Director General of Khiagda, JSC, among the main achievements of the company in 2019, the completion of the first stage of 110/10 Dzhilinda substation, obtaining permission to put the power plant into operation were identified. Construction and installation works on the first stage of the Vershinnoye field ISL site have been completed: a conclusion on the compliance of the constructed project has been received. Victoria Dolina, moderator of the dialogue, informed about the results of the 2018-2019 reporting campaign and the concept of reporting ocuments for 2019. She noted the main achievements of the report for 2018, and recalled that 2020 is the year of the double anniversary: the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 75th anniversary of the nuclear industry. They also talked about the transition to a common brand of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and the main changes in the public reporting system in this regard. Representatives of stakeholders made suggestions and recommendations for disclosure of the priority topic in the report. The next, final dialogue in the format of public consultations, which will discuss the draft reporting materials, is expected to be held in the middle of May.
