VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC completed a package of design projects for the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat
Based on the work results, the customer will be able to optimize significantly the cost of transporting the rock mass from the Muruntau open-pit mine.
«We determined the optimal directions and constructed the schemes for ore and rock transportation, proposed options for locations of cyclic-and-continuous technology complexes. The Muruntau open-pit mine development project takes into account relocation of conveyors over the next 10 years with due consideration of the utmost workload of the complex. Estimation of the amount of mining and transportation equipment required for the next 10 years of the open-pit mine development has also been carried out,» said Andrey Kasatkin, Head of the Department of Scientific and Innovative Activities, VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC.
Earlier, the Engineering Center completed a number of design projects at the request of the one of the world’s largest gold producers. For example, the Muruntau open-pit mine area was increased from 3.5×2.5 km up to 4.5×3 km with development depth of 1 km. The developed engineering solutions enabled engaging reserves with lower metal content in the ore — mining gain amounted to 169%.
It is worthwhile noting, it was VNIPIpromtechnologii that designed the Navoi MMC facilities in the 60s of the last century. Since then, the Institute maintains mutually beneficial relations with the one of the world’s largest gold producers. Currently, new contracts are under discussion.
