AtomSkills-2020 Professional Championship: Nine Winner Medals for ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

On August 20th, Novovoronezh summarized the results of AtomSkills-2020, the 5th WorldSkills-based sectoral championship of professional skills powered by Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. won nine winner medals, including eight silver medals and one bronze medal, for the first time ever in the history of the championship. A silver medal was awarded to Vasiliy Dynenkov, an electric and gas welder at PIMCU, PJSC. This was the first and long-awaited triumph in the Welding Techniques competence. Moreover, there are as many as seven silver medals won in the Analytical Control competence by Anna Yakovleva, Tatyana Ganzhurova, Anna Dneprovskaya, and Yulia Krasnoperova of Khiagda, JSC and Yelena Volozhanina, Natalya Selezneva, and Anastasia Silkina of PIMCU, PJSC.

The third place with the bronze winner medal was won by Darya Safonova (VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC) in the Budgeting and Cost Estimation. A good result was achieved by the designer team of ARMZ scientific institution in the Engineering Design competence. The guys had been already awarded the strongly wished first-place medals two years ago and in 2020 the team was recognized as the best of all the participating teams.

The closing ceremony of the championship, which was held on the square near the Star of Glory monument dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was attended by industry leaders, including Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, Alexander Lokshin and Ivan Kamenskikh as the First Deputies to Director General for Operations Management of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, and Tatyana Terentyeva, HR Director of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.

During the closing ceremony, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev addressed to participants of the championship, live from the Victory Museum square on the Poklonnaya Hill: «Today is a landmark and a very important day for the entire nuclear industry. Exactly 75 years ago, on August 20, 1945, the authorities took a historic decision to establish the First Chief Atomic Energy Directorate. This was the beginning of the Atomic Energy Project in the country. Since then, the word ‘first’ has become inherent in the genetic code of the Soviet and Russian nuclear professionals. This leadership and record-setting quality continues to exist today, as well».

It should be reminded that the championship was held online because of the pandemic outbreak. They had elaborated the AtomSkills competition structure that would meet the new challenges and circumstances and altered the competition tasks accordingly. In the year of the 75th anniversary of the nuclear industry, all activities within the fifth edition of the championship took place in an open format under the ‘Fair Play’ motto.

Everyone who wished: Russian workers and engineering professionals over the age of 18 years, including those employed in the industry, college and university students, and specialists in other manufacturing companies, has taken part in the championship in 2020. A total of more than 1,400 people submitted their online applications via atomskills2020.ru during the bid campaign.

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to our site. We believe that it is useful to our users to see advertisements that are more relevant to their interests. If you are based in the European Union and would like to learn more about how advertisers use these types of cookies or to choose not to receive them, please visit www.youronlinechoices.eu.

We also use or allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into the four categories above. For example, like many companies, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic. We may also enable third parties to serve cookies to help to identify fraudulent or non-human traffic on some of our websites. We may also use third party cookies to help us with market research, revenue tracking, improving site functionality and monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and copyright policy.

Can a website user block cookies?
As we’ve explained above, cookies help you to get the most out of our websites. Please remember that if you do choose to disable cookies, you may find that certain sections of our website do not work properly.

Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
