Mining Division Representatives in ROSATOM Team Took Top Places in WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2020
WorldSkills Hi-Tech is the largest professional skill competition in Russia among specialists from the largest domestic enterprises. Over 300 contestants from Russia and 12 other countries took part in it. This year the State Corporation was represented by more than 100 people from 10 divisions of the industry, who performed in 18 competencies of the main competitions and in 9 competencies of the 2nd National Championship «Skills of the Wise». The participants brought 25 awards to the collection of ROSATOM Team — 13 gold medals, 9 silver and 3 bronze ones.
The Mining Division employees also contributed to the overall victory. Participant Elena Elina and expert Vladimir Nadelyaev (Khiagda, JSC) won the first place in the Environmental Protection competence. Silver medal in the Engineering Design competence was won by a team from VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC: participants: Nikita Gubanov, Dmitry Lebedev, Alena Murzina, Anna Babaeva; experts: Anton Sashkin and Alexey Perepelkin.
This is not the first championship for the participants. Most of them passed the selection at the divisional level, and more than once won the Atomskills industry championship of professional skills.
«The victory at Hi-Tech 2020 once again proved that the Uranium Holding employs real professionals who are able to solve the assigned tasks even in the most difficult conditions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic,» emphasized Stanislav Anikeev, HR Director of ARMZ. Due to the pandemic, the championship was held live online. The competition structure corresponding to the new tasks and conditions was developed, the competition tasks were adjusted. Everyone interested could watch the event via online broadcast on the official YouTube, Facebook, VK accounts from anywhere in the world. The award ceremony was also held live online.
For reference: The WorldSkills Hi-Tech Championship was held from 23 to 30 October 2020. Over 300 contestants took part in it; the expert community was represented by over 100 people. In a remote format, the contestants performed the task in their organization with the video recording of the process. The experts, being at the sites in their organizations or other sites, evaluated the participant’s performance online.
