Alexander Burutin Took Part in Meeting on Social and Economic Development of Trans-Baikal Territory
Alexander Burutin, Deputy Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (Mining Division of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation), took part in a meeting on social and economic development of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
The meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Yury Trutnev took place in Chita. It was attended by the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory Alexander Osipov, heads of federal and regional ministries and departments, the Far East Development Corporation, and investors.
Alexander Burutin made a number of proposals for the development of Krasnokamensk, the second largest city in the region. In particular, he elaborated on the need to reconstruct communal infrastructure: sewage treatment facilities, and a water conduit.
To increase the volume of coal production at the Urtuisky opencast mine and, as a result, increase tax payments, he proposed to increase the quota for the solid fuel supply to the People’s Republic of China. The growth in coal sales will also allow the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union (PIMCU) to increase its own investments in the implementation of the Argunskoye and Zherlovoye uranium deposit development project (construction of Mine No. 6).
The greatest support from the meeting participants was given to the proposal to introduce preferential mortgages at two percent per annum for Krasnokamensk residents to purchase the housing in the secondary market.
«The proposals of the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. are aimed at attracting investors to work within the ASEZ of Krasnokamensk, reducing the population outflow and improving the quality of life for the townspeople,» commented Alexander Burutin.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia instructed to include these proposals in the minutes of the meeting, emphasizing the need for their implementation.
