Dalur and Zverinogolovsky District Officials (Kurgan Region) Signed Cooperation Agreement

The document presupposes the implementation of a set of joint measures in order to ensure sustainable social and economic development of the territory, increase the employment rate and the quality of life of people. The agreement was signed by Oleg Kurochkin, Acting Head of the Zverinogolovsky District, and Nikolay Poponin, Director General of Dalur, JSC.

«Last year we signed a cooperation agreement with the Government of the Kurgan Region. The result of our joint work is an uninterrupted supply of strategic metal to the Russian nuclear industry, a significant replenishment of budgets at all levels through tax payments and the creation of highly paid jobs. In addition to a significant contribution to the budgets at all levels, as part of its social policy, Dalur, JSC is constantly working to improve the quality of life in a number of districts of the Kurgan region. The agreement with the Administration of the Zverinogolovsky District is a logical continuation of this work,» said Nikolay Poponin.

Zverinogolovsky District is the territory of the enterprise’s presence. Here, at the Dobrovolnoye deposit, geological exploration has been completed and preparations are underway for the start of pilot work. 8 residents of the district have already been taken on a permanent job. Current problems are not ignored. For example, in 2019 in the Zverinogolovsky District, at the expense of Dalur, JSC, a Digital and Humanitarian Education Center «Growth Point» was opened, assistance was provided in organizing New Year’s events and holidays for children, support was provided to budgetary institutions, etc. «The agreement will open a new page of our cooperation for the benefit of the region residents,» said Oleg Kurochkin.

The first activity under the agreement will be the renovation of the Trud i Znanie school. Dalur, JSC will allocate over RUB 500 thousand for these purposes.

Let us note that the tax payments of Dalur, JSC, which produces uranium at the Trans-Urals deposits, amount to over RUB 500 million a year, of which over RUB 200 million go to regional and local budgets. Social expenses amount to about RUB 25 million a year, and charity contributions amount to about RUB 10 million. Also, the company participates in the implementation of national projects. In particular, over RUB 30 million have been allocated as part of the Education national project for the construction of a new school in the Uksyanskoe village and the creation of a specialized «Dalur class» in it. A gym for the company’s employees and local residents was built in the Uksyanskoe village as part of the Health national project.

Exercise equipment and sports gear for weightlifting, boxing, gymnastics, soccer, and volleyball were purchased. Dalur, JSC supports the holding of eight annual interregional sports competitions. Also, three federal projects have been implemented in the Kurgan region by the Mining Division of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation in 2017-2019: «Road to the Future» (vocational guidance for high school students), «A World Without Terror through the Eyes of Children» (art workshops for children from low-income families) and «Books for Visually Impaired Children» (providing the schools for visually impaired children with educational literature).

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognize your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyze how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

Does anyone else use cookies on ARMZ websites?
Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to our site. We believe that it is useful to our users to see advertisements that are more relevant to their interests. Do we track whether users open our emails?
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them, to check that content is being used in accordance with our terms and conditions, and to inform our advertisers in aggregate how many users have clicked on their advertisements. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
