ARMZ Mining Machinery and NUST MISIS College of Mining Held Competition of Young Researchers’ Projects
The competition was held as part of the agreement on cooperation between the innovative company and the College of Mining. Alexander Myaskov, Head of NUST MISIS College of Mining: «This is an excellent example of fruitful cooperation between a high school and a business company. I am sure that, through our joint efforts, we will achieve high results that will be the basis for the development and implementation of new innovative projects.»
The competition was held on a remote basis. Based on the applications received, the winners were selected, whose reports were evaluated by the competition committee. The winner was Marat Raiyimbek, a master of the Department of Mining Equipment, Transport, and Mechanical Engineering, with his project «The Use of a 3D Scanning Method to Develop Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals». The master will receive a monthly addition to his scholarship and funds for implementing his research project in the amount of RUB 350 thousand. After successful project implementation, ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC will provide an opportunity to test the research results in practice and to introduce them into production. Igor Semenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC: «These research works are of really applied nature and have a great potential for the development. All of them are aimed at improving our Company’s performance and will receive our support. The winning project will help create a digital counterpart of our products.»
ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC has been established in 2019. It is the operator of the project for localizing the production of ARGO self-propelled mining machinery in Russia. Currently, the Company manufactures load-haul-dumpers powered by lithium-ion batteries for major Russian and foreign companies.
