ARMZ Mining Machinery Presents Innovative Technology
ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC (managed by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co./Mining Division of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation), in cooperation with French Aramine, presented an innovative technology at the 15th International Exhibition MiningWorld Russia 2021. The BQRS technology is a system for a quick replacement of a lithium-ion battery for Argo LHD 140 load-haul-dumpers produced in Russia under a joint project of ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC and Aramine. The battery replacement in a mine environment takes just 20 minutes. The technology has been tested in underground uranium mines of Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC in the Trans-Baikal Territory and at production facilities of other mining companies. Igor Semenov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC, also took an active part in the Exhibition’s business program as a speaker. In particular, he made presentations at the main plenary discussion «Increasing the Mining Sector Efficiency and the Digitalization of the Industry» and at the panel discussion «Underground Mining Technology and Trends».
«Today, to ensure our competitiveness, we need to master, develop, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and sustainability. Robotization and electrification are rapidly gaining popularity in the mining sector, both in open-pit and closed mining. Our battery-powered load-haul-dumpers are also in demand by mining companies given the need to reach the ESG goals», as Igor Semenov stated during the main plenary discussion.
Note that ARMZ Mining Machinery, LLC has participated in the MiningWorld Russia International Exhibition of Machines and Equipment for Mining, Processing, and Transportation of Mineral Resources since its inception. In 2019, at MiningWorld Russia, the Company signed an industrial partnership agreement with Aramine; in 2020, at CrocusExpo, it presented the first Russian battery-powered underground mining machine, and in 2021, the innovative BQRS technology.
