Great Patriotic War Victory Day Celebrated at All Enterprises of Rosatom Mining Division
The long-awaited events brought together thousands of people who came out to honor the memory of heroes, lay wreaths at monuments and memorials, and march solemnly down the streets of cities and towns. The regions were united by an event «Frontline Heroes» — ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. employees shared photos of their relatives: frontline soldiers and home front workers. They told the life stories of their parents and grandparents, forever inscribing their feat in the memory of generations. Based on the information provided, videos were made that became a symbolic memory ribbon for ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., which were broadcast at the enterprises and in social networks.
In Krasnokamensk (Trans-Baikal Territory), the 76th anniversary of the Victory Day was met with a traditional procession of labor groups along Stroiteley Ave., a commemorative meeting, a colorful concert, bright fireworks and other events. Teams of subdivisions of E.P. Slavsky Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC and Drilling Site No. 2 of RUSBURMASH, JSC were in a single formation. In the first rows there were representatives of the Youth Council, which on the eve of the Victory Day in a warm and touching atmosphere handed greeting addresses and food on behalf of the leaders of the association and the primary trade union organization to veterans and widows of war participants.
Employees of Khiagda, JSC (Republic of Buryatia) honored the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War by installing the Victory Banner on the building of the sulfuric acid plant. «Today the Victory Banner is not just an unqualified triumph of the Soviet troops over Nazism, but also a reminder of the Great Patriotic War, gratitude to the ancestors and teaching for the present generation,» said Andrey Gladyshev, Director General of the company.
Also as part of the festivities, representatives of the Youth Council of Khiagda, JSC and volunteers held a traditional action: they congratulated veterans and home front workers of Romanovka village, Bauntovsky-Evenki District.
In Kurgan Region, Dalur, JSC and RUSBURMASH, JSC provided financial support for the creation of a memorial obelisk in the village of Maloye Dyuryagino in the Shumikhinsky District and participated in the improvement of military memorials in all the settlements where uranium mining is conducted. Food kits were given out to war veterans and home front workers. A master class on making a St. George’s ribbon with the participation of the Youth Council of Dalur, JSC was held at Uksyansk School.
